Organizations new to Food Rescue Alliance receive one year of direct consulting on top of the peer-to-peer learning access of the FRA network. Direct consulting with the FRA program manager allows new organizations to develop their strategy and capacity to grow from an idea to a functioning organization.
Direct consulting support can be focused on a few specific topics, or can be broad and enable new organizations to touch into many topics essential to starting a nonprofit. Topics include but are not limited to: proof-of-concept strategies, board development, fundraising, strategic planning, stakeholder engagement, volunteer management, logistics and operations, program development, program evaluation, and more.
Upon entry into the FRA network, organizations will set goals and a timeline with the program manager. Direct consulting includes:
- Monthly meetings
- Facilitated board retreat
- Resource/Document sharing
- Goal setting and check in process
“Charlotte Food Rescue would not be a non profit today without the Food Rescue Alliance. When Charlotte Food Rescue received the 501c3 approved paperwork back, it was able to make the first food rescue the very next day. Food Rescue Alliance provides a network of knowledge and support that allows for individual organizations to transform from an idea to action.”
